Biography
More appearances for Gospel Award Winner.

Minister Charles R. Hyman was born in Tarboro, North Carolina on February 20, 1968. He is the youngest of eleven children. At the age of four his sister dropped a Coca-Cola bottle on his head. He went into the house and began to cry. His crying harmonized with the theme song from Soul Train. This marked the beginning of his career as a singer.

Charles graduated from North Carolina Central University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education and Performance. He is noted throughout the Carolinas as a distinguished thespian for his lead roles in "Dream Girls" and "Joe Turner Come and Gone". Charles appeared in the PBS special Duke Ellington's sacred music and opened for renowned greats as Phyllis Hyman, Kirk Franklin, Tonex, and Marvin Sapp. He is a Showtime at the Apollo winner; however, he felt a void in his life.

In 1994 he married his wife, an officer in the U.S. Army. They founded C-LUV Productions the same year. Charles toured Europe singing jazz in the Montreaux Jazz Festival. In 1995 he joined his wife and served as the Minister of Music for the Collective and Gospel Protestant services at Fort Drum, New York and Korea. IN 1997 Minister Hyman accepted his calling into the ministry. He was licensed and ordained under Full Gospel Ministries in 1998.

In 2000 he sang with the John P. Key and the Church Choir. In 2003 Minister Hyman founded C-LUV Ministries. C-LUV Ministries brings the WORD alive and endeavors to contribute the spiritual renewal and advancement of the saved and unsaved communities. It helps Christians understand and apply God's principles, overcome personal obstacles, and encourage individuals to develop a personal relationship with God.

Minister Charles Hyman is performing to sell out crowds at churches across the nation. His debut CD, "I Surrender", was released on March 19, 2005. You will be blessed as you experience the anointed ministry of Minister Charles Hyman.
